Modern House in the Woods

There are many reasons why people love living in the woods - animals, being one with nature, the peace and quiet. The only downside is in the unfortunate event of a falling tree, your home could be a direct target. This happened at a very unique residence in Old Saybrook.

Sunroom Addition after Tree Damage

A tree fell through the roof of this split level home in Branford, CT. Coordinating the removal of the solar panels proved to be a challenge, but it gave us a chance to design and erect a small sunroom in the back of the home where a deck once was. We redesigned the main living space with an open floor plan, a new set of built-ins around the TV and a farm house style kitchen complete with an oversized island.

Ranch Remodel in Hamden

Nothing was the same after ACE got through with this single family home. When we first started to demo, we discovered this beautiful fireplace hiding behind the old plaster walls. We opened all the walls, raised the ceilings and designed a unique space for a young couple. They love to entertain, so we built out the unfinished basement space with a bedroom/bathroom, a living room and a wet bar with a custom wine rack.

An Accommodating Renovation in Milford

An old dehumidifier started a fire in the basement of this ranch home in Milford, CT. After the smoke settled and the demolition was done, we worked with the homeowners to help make their home more comfortable to “age in place”. We moved the laundry room up to the master bedroom and added amenities like shower benches, dog washing tub and a finished basement for the grandkids to play.

“Can we add a Man-Shed?”

When a devastating fire displaced a young family and their pets, we were determined to make the new home unrecognizable when they returned home. While we were discussing the possibilities (beyond the common open concept) the husband asked us to build him a large deck with a closed in “man-shed” below. Let’s do it!
